Personality: Soran is proud, cunning, cruel, and loves to fight. The lives of others hold absolutely no value to him, and he shows no remorse for his actions. As a pragmatist, he will strike without a moment's thought, warning, or hesitation. This makes him a skilled and extremely aggressive opponent, showing mastery in hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship. He is swift and agile, able to perform complicated and nearly impossible acrobatic feats such as jumping off of a high cliff while landing squarely on his feet. The swift warrior is also a difficult opponent to fight in close combat, as he can quickly counterattack if struck multiple times, making him very dangerous. He is also shown to be an uncaring, cold, and ruthless individual, having not the slightest sympathy for anyone.

• Calm Minded - Soran's personality is considerably calmer and much more serious than most individuals, but he still has a habit of joking around and disrespecting those around him. He loves to relax and enjoy himself.

He uses this gift during individual interactions as well, during which he can gain a desired effect depending on his intention.

Character Appearance

Height: 5'11" Feet tall
Weight: 185 lbs.
Physical Traits: Soran has short spiky black hair and golden eyes with a clean cut face. There is a very tiny hole located at the bottom on his left foot and rather than a bone fragment piece, Soran has an entire mouthful of razor-sharp fangs, making it much easier for its bite to puncture the vessels in the neck to feed off of human blood. Soran's biting force is equal to the strongest jaws in nature: an alligator. In addition, Soran's Resurrección could allow him to unhinge its jaws to increase the size of his bite.

Soran is fairly muscular but to the extent where he is swift as well as strong. Generally chesty with more upper body mass but strong legs which can run swiftly and deliver powerful kicks. He built his body up to the highest that he could achieve with it, but to an extent that it would not affect his movements or slow him down, therefore he achieved the body of the perfect warrior. Basically, he has the perfect blend of mass and tonnage to create the maximum amount of flexibility and strength needed in battle. Then, he built his muscle's tonnage to have a huge amount of endurance so he can last longer in battle when needed.

Clothing: The basics of Soran's outfit are gloves, arm braces, shorts, large shoes, hooded shirt, and a hip chain on his right side. His outfit consists of a black and silver outfit that, while remaining baggy, contains a darker style using many zippers and extra leggings but still retains a crown necklace. Soran has large red pockets which can hold many items, and he has the sheath to his Zanpakutō strapped on the left side of his hip.

Accessories: Soran also wears a pair of arm braces with gloves with one layer of pitch-black Titanium with another layer of rubber-based material connected to the inside of them, preventing electricity from conducting and shocking the user. They take the shape of the user's hand with sharp finger tips and appear to be leather, but on feel and effectiveness, is pure Titanium on the outer-layer. However, hidden under his arm braces are 13 inch hidden blades.

These hidden blades can be brought out at any instant with swift speed and are located above the knuckle. The arm braces and gloves can be used to block and deflect any oncoming weapons. Furthermore, the mechanism does not require a wrist "flick" to extend the blade, thus the user could retract the blade without any wrist or hand movement. The hidden blades also give the user more freedom in movement than any other weapon. For example, Soran could easily strafe a 180° arc while in combat, which is barely possible (except from very close range) with the sword or dagger.

Fighting Style

General Fighting Style: Soran has shown to be an extremely skilled mixed martial artist, he oftentimes demonstrates on various occasions an ability with nunchaku, katana, bo staff, as well as hand to hand combat that far surpasses the expected capabilities of an average Arrancar. Soran developed his own style and exhibits an incredible degree of skill as a swordsman, being capable of delivering multiple precision strikes at lightning-fast speeds.

Strengths: Soran only knows the manipulation of Sonido as well as the ability to automatically perform High-Speed Regeneration in his base form. High-Speed Regeneration allows Hollows to recover from any damage that they sustain by causing them to heal at an increased rate, closing the wounds on their body and causing any limbs that they have lost to grow back. Despite the many benefits that it provides, most Hollows choose to abandon the ability to regenerate when they become Arrancar, in exchange for a greater amount of power. However, Soran has decided to keep this ability even after his mask was taken off.

Soran is extremely skilled with both speed and agility, being able to slice an opponent sixteen times in a blink of an eye with his Zanpakutō. Soran is able to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported or flickered away. It is accomplished by using wind to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. This has caused some to mistakenly believe he can teleport, when in fact he is just moving very quickly. This incredible speed gives him an edge in battle against slower or close-range fighters.

Soran can even move so fast to the point where he produces afterimages of himself in order to confuse opponents who are unable to follow his movements. This is the ability to move so swiftly that an image of the user is left behind. Most often it is used to dodge an incoming attack and get behind the opponent to perform a counter-attack. Its usage is not limited to just counterattacks though, as it can also be used to confuse enemies. This technique merely requires moving faster than the eye can see. This is a similar phenomenon to that of moving your hand back and forth very fast, and seeing a sort of afterimage of your hand. However, the speed at which Soran can move his entire body is far too much for an average shinobi to perform. This user can distract his/her opponent with an Afterimage Technique then when the opponent attacks the false image, the user can perform sneak attacks.

Weaknesses: No Pesquisa or Hierro whatsoever. Soran has the durability of an average human and no sensory abilities at all. Soran lacks the iron hard skin most other Arrancar possess due to the fact that he kept his Regeneration abilities.

While High-Speed Regeneration is indeed a powerful ability, it is not without its flaws. Despite the extent to which it can heal the body, internal organs such as the brain cannot be regenerated; if such irreparable damage is sustained, the rest of the body can continue to regenerate, though to no avail. In addition, if the body is damaged before it has the chance to heal, or if enough damage is inflicted on it at once, then it can be destroyed.

Zanpakutō & Cero

Sealed Appearance: This Zanpakutō is known as Soran's true "Strength" which boosts the wielders attack and speed for close combat. This Katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: two curved, slender, single-edged blades; a square or circular guard; and a long grip to accommodate two hands. This double-bladed katana can be split into two separate swords or shifted into a double-edged sword with swords coming from each side of the hilt. This sword has a laserpoint-sharpened edge which can easily cut through stone & crystal without any difficulty alone. This weapon is also light and versatile, meaning it can be used for both a quick counter and in blocking/deflecting oncoming projectiles.

Zanpakutō:

Zanpakutō Name: Strength
Zanpakutō Call Out: Give me Strength!
Cero: Soran's Cero is a blast that usually comes out of the palm of the user's hand. It can take many forms: a ray of energy, a glowing orb, or even a repulsion field that can block minor attacks. In essence, energy waves are a type of technique where their user utilizes an assortment of energy-based waves, cast from (but not limited to) their palms, feet, fingertips, eyes, body, or mouth. The color of the aura they emit varies between users. Soran's energy is a Crimson Red color.

To use it, the user starts by charging an energy sphere in their hand(s). Then, they draw their hand(s) forward and fire the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage. This can also be formed when cupped hands are drawn to the user's side and the spiritual energy is concentrated into a single point between the cupped hands. The hands are then thrust forward to shoot out a streaming, powerful beam of energy. The blast can also be used, generally under extenuating circumstances, with just one arm or even the feet.

After charging crimson energy into his Zanpakutō, Soran then swipes a slicing energy wave which appears to be controlled by Soran's will and thoughts. He is also able to use this technique in a rapid-fire, successive motion. In addition to making it a deadly short range weapon, the sharp wind also carries tremendous force that can devastate anything in its path without affecting the user, making it useful for dislodging solid and heavy objects. This extends the reach and the cutting ability of the blade, and also allows the user to fire crescents of wind whenever the blade is swung. This released wind is capable of great destruction as shown from how it destroyed a stone pillar.

In addition to making it a deadly short range weapon, the extended blade also carries tremendous force that can devastate anything in its path without effecting the user, making it useful for dislodging solid and heavy objects.

Resurrección

Appearance: Soran will be consumed by his own shadow and transform into the Resurrección form of pure darkness. In this form, his clothing is the same as what Soran usually wears. However, unlike the picture he doesn't wear a skirt or use a weapon and keeps his gloves, arm braces, hooded shirt, and even has the same necklace and hip chain. However, his clothing is colored entirely in shades of black and red. His skin is also darker, as is his spiky hair. He also has glowing yellow eyes which can see in the dark, characteristic of an advanced Hollow.

Resurrección Appearance:

Abilities: The darkness in Soran's heart will mix with his wind-based Zanpakutō, which causes him to gain wind abilities as well as the power of darkness. In this form, all of his cells fuse in a level of saturation of darkness. Soran instantaneously gains a more feral behavior in which he runs about on all fours and attack with shadow claws on his hands. Aesthetically, the Soran's skin and hair would then become ink black and his clothes become black with blue accents. Furthermore, he is constantly emitting Darkness from his arms and back in the form of misty black and violet wisps in exchange for having a shadow.

In this form Soran has full control over every aspect of his physical make-up, able to stretch, shape-shift, liquify limbs, and otherwise manipulate his malleable body; useful as both an attack and defense. This also causes Soran to be able to change his size and shape into a wide variety of forms, and harden himself to create weapons. Soran can produce tentacle of darkness either from their back, feet, forearm, or palm. The tentacles can pierce objects and wrap around them to lift them up. Soran has the ability to form spikes, shields and other extra appendages to his body created from Darkness.

Advanced Regeneration: Soran is able to regenerate limbs in this form. He can also regenerate his body at a sub-molecular level, allowing him to survive virtually anything that doesn't harm any vital organs. However, this is not without a drawback. The mental effort needed to employ this advanced form of healing could eventually fatigue him and render Soran's body manipulation and regeneration ability temporarily dysfunctional.

Wind Levitation: This is a technique which Soran developed to manipulate the wind around him in order to give him the ability to fly and maneuver using the wind currents in mid-air by constantly emitting spiritual energy waves down towards the surface through his feet to lift and propel himself. The user raises their spiritual energy, and literally floats on top of it. As the user becomes more skilled, they can maneuver through the air by increasing and decreasing the output and direction of their energy. The result of it is that the user manipulates their spiritual energy so that they can levitate or fly for any amount of time.

The wind based speed has a limit, as he cannot exceed the speed of the wind itself. However, his own speed more than makes up for this flaw. He can fly really high in the air so long as he has enough concentration and proper control by generating and controlling air currents around his body. While in flight, he is able to maintain complete balance. Soran mainly uses this technique for quick melee attacks in battle, often employing hit and run tactics, and flying away to avoid potentially dangerous situations. He can easily defend himself from long range as well.

Wind Barrier: Similar to an air shield, this powerful defense surrounds the user in a sphere of spinning air that deflects anything coming in at them, levitate across varied distances, and can even disintegrate the ground beneath them. The user can harness the surrounding wind currents to form a dome or full body barrier of wind in order to protect themselves from various oncoming attacks. However, under the spiraling wind is a dome of pure energy that can withstand most energy-based or elemental attacks depending on the strength and amount of force used in the attack. The durability increases as the user's power rises due to the fact it is made from the user's own energy.

The technique gives off a loud bell-like screech after being formed. The wind is thin and sharp enough to countless microscopic wind-blades that damage the body on a cellular level and cut a close-range opponent into pieces. The constant flow of wind is mainly used in order to block or deflect certain oncoming attacks in another direction somewhat like a tornado. The shield is basically coating their body with wind and expelling it out and molding it into a full body shield, which is a visible dome of wind that covers 360 degrees of the whole body from up down and all around and anyone caught in it other than the user will be severely injured. This can only last one post at a time, and Soran can NOT physically attack while inside this barrier. This ability also cannot be used again until 3 posts later.

Boosts: Soran's Speed drastically increases to the point where Soran can enhance his movement in battle; he can run swiftly by decreasing air resistance around himself and even sprint across or run up vertical surfaces by generating a wind current behind himself to propel him forward. Soran has been shown using this to run many times faster than an average Arrancar and maintain this for very long periods of time, allowing him to travel long distances without Air walking or jumping.

When used by this skilled wind user, this useful ability can enable Soran to travel at a speed almost too swift for the naked eye to be able to see properly. The constant movement required by this art makes Soran naturally flexible and agile. Even without wind manipulation he can easily maneuver around an opponent by ducking, jumping, and side stepping, appearing to flow around their opponents without expending any energy at all, letting the opponent tire themselves out and thus creating exploitable openings. This conservation of energy combined with high stamina gives him an advantage in prolonged combat. Due to such speed, he is able to scale right up the walls of buildings, or similar structures, and can also run right over water.

Back Drop:

Background: Soran was an orphan whom was abandoned by his parents at the young age of 4 in Japan, he is unsure if this was his original place of birth, but he considers it to be his home. Soran was adopted by a master of combat, he was trained with Martial Arts and Swordsmanship at a very young age. Soran was trained for the next twelve years in the ancient sword style that is said to pit one against many. It is a sword art that is known as the White Lotus Style, passed down from master to apprentice for many generations. The one drawback to the style on a whole is that it is a physically demanding style, only a person of peak athletic ability is able to maintain it.

Soran trained every single day in order to perfectly hone his abilities to the maximum capacity that he could obtain. Soran was even trained from a day to day basis in the art of fighting with a blindfold on, so in the slight chance that he was ever blinded in battle he would be able to have an acute sense of hearing and be able to ascertain an opponent's position when temporarily blinded and subsequently disarm him, kill the opponent, and then catch a sheath perfectly on his sword through sound alone.

However, he was killed when he was sixteen by gang members when he was swarmed by armed men. Soran fought to his best capabilities, but his body was shot multiple times with a pistol and had his body thrown into the ocean with stones tied to his feet. His soul however, remained behind due to a grudge from beyond the grave. Soran not cross over to Soul Society after his death and wandered the Human World alone for many years, until eventually he gave into the despair of being trapped on Earth for over ten years after his Death. Thus, he decided to track down and kill every gang member whom had killed him. In doing so, his soul transformed into a Hollow with a small hole through his left foot.

Soran was now a pure Hollow with a hole in his left foot. His memories were swept away for the time being, he was confused about his own existence. He began to wander around the world and prey on human souls as a corrupt spirit with supernatural powers that devoured the souls of both living and deceased humans. This allowed him to gain power and become a far stronger individual. He was completely mindless, but he continued to learn more and more about how he loved the power that he gained from the souls of humans. Eventually Soran met up with a group of cannibal hollows known as Menos who were able to cross over to the Human World and Soul Society and decided to follow them.

Original Hollow Form:

Soran was now part of the weakest of all Menos. His body grew to become huge, but he was slow and had beast-like intellect. Soran soon began to crave the flesh of his fellow hollows. As he grew hungry, he began to devour them one by one. As this happened Soran seemed like only a simple mindless eater at first. In this form he was covered from head to toe with a black covering reminiscent of a cloak. Around his neck was a row of thin white spikes. He had large, pointed feet wrapped in white bandages and large white hands with long, sharp, white nails, which remained hidden within his cloak at all times. Soran soon became an aware Gillian, preying on his fellow Menos, until he reached the next stage in the evolution.


In this state, he was now far more powerful, a big threat to any Shinigami that was not a seated officer. But soon after this transformation, he came in contact with an Arrancar named Ryu, whom had offered to train him in combat. As the years passed, Soran was not guided every step of the way by his new Master. Instead, he was made to find his own way, Ryu offering scant advice and instruction only when Soran found himself lost. Soran's new Master would never debate or enter into deep discussion with the boy. During the brutal training regimen, Soran was pushed to his limits, the physical tests he was subjected to bordered on torture, and many times, until one day he fell upon the brink of death.

Ryu was impressed, because soon Soran would even be able to keep up with him. Soran had learned a mixture of Martial Arts. The first was had mastered was known as Muai Thai, then he discovered Capoeira. This was the style he had become most excited to learn. But soon, there was nothing left to learn from Ryu.


One day his training was complete, Soran had finally reached his maximum potential as an Adjucha. Ryu walked up to Soran and placed his hand firmly on the mask located on his face. Ryu ripped off the mask and transformed Soran into an Arrancar. All the memories from his life as a human rushed into his mind as he let out a loud howl until his transformation was complete. With a smirk on his face, Soran smiled for the first time revealing his face and sharp teeth. Soon after this final step in the Hollow evolution, Soran killed then devoured his own Master and gained his power in order to wield his own Zanpakutō known only as "Strength". Soran now wanders the land as a Rurouni Arrancar with no regrets about his life.

Soran is now a traveler among the world, he walks in silence among the shadows. Not knowing who he truly is or why he has the abilities that he does, but regardless he honed his skills to their best capacity in order to achieve both enlightenment and balance with the world around him. Soran has demonstrated a depth of understanding that would seem to surpass his young appearance, such as knowing roughly what is going to happen in the future based on the actions and personalities of the people involved.
