Rena's final option

Rena slowly walked towards the Gotei first division's front door as she remembered all the centuries she had spent helping the shinigami and even being one of them once upon a time, but that was an era long gone and a time she wishes she did not have to repeat again.. There was no choice however.. This was her final option to get any amount of her power back without having to go directly to the Soul King, who would not have let her anywhere near him in the first place, and begging him for mercy. Which would have grated Rena's pride.

She had called in a few favors and had managed to get into Soul Society without any complications.. then she had a meeting called because not only was her favor she wished to ask of the utmost importance.. but it required the aid of all available captains of this current era of Soul Society Government. She was going to ask them to infuse her with a mass of shinigami reiatsu to forcibly return her to being a shinigami.

"This is my fate it seems" She chuckled as she waited for the captains and/or the captain commander to come to the meeting..having arrived early herself due to her own impatient tendencies. Once they arrived she would begin her statements,

"In the past it was possible to use more than one person's reiatsu to flush out the shinigami powers of Ichigo Kurosaki after having used all of his shinigami power to injure, which lead to the sealing of, Aizen. Now.. Many of you may know me through name or deed.. or you may know me from the past when I was once a shinigami of Gotei. I'm not asking you to help me out of comradery or friendship. I'm asking you for your help in returning me to being a shinigami so I can help people again."

She paused for just a second and sighed softly, "I would be willing to rejoin the 13 court guard squads permanently should this favor be done.. I would accept any position given and carry out orders as instructed.. Since I would not be a vizard this time I would not go ballistic as I have in the past as well.."

She looked around the room, "This is my last chance. The only way I can find a way to try and help people. You are not obligated to do this.. and you do not have to force yourselves if you do not wish to.. I merely though I would ask for your help."

Aki strolled down to the meeting room, deep in thought. He recognized the girl as the vizard that was the primary reason they got booted out. He wondered why she was here again. Some have said she wasn't anywhere near as strong as she was...in fact, completely the opposite side of the spectrum.

He was the first shinigami to arrive, seeing the girl was the first one there. The man figured she'll spill everything when everyone's here. The brown haired guy simply nodded in acknowledgement at her as he contemplated things. Jensen was getting a tad nosy about Ariel...he wondered if he should approach him about it...

The last one to arrive was a five foot four blond that had a striking resemblance to a Tomoshibi back in the World of the Living. Wasn't a surprise...every meeting since the Retake, Riku had been the very last to show up...often tired. Aki patted the kid on the head held the squirt against him. Riku had gotten used to the affection...and slightly used to the mildly eccentric man, though he was oddly serious today. As the meeting started, Aki was the first to speak after she was done.

"I think I can understand your want to go back to power...but also remember that you invaded here, destroyed the Maggot's Nest, and was the primary reason that we got booted from Soul Society. Even injured me quite a bit. Perhaps it is the Soul King's doing and will to strip you of your powers. As punishment.

On the other hand, it would be nice having another captain class shinigami on our side. Especially with one undergoing a lengthy recovery right now..." Aki looked down at Riku.

"If there's gonna be a vote, I'm abstaining. With my memory loss and everything...I really don't think I should vote..."

It was up to the others now...

Jensen entered the room not long after Riku. He gave the young woman there a look of doubt and sat down in his chair. Oh, he knew who she was. And he was not pleased to see her. He waited for the others to show up, and sat quitely as he waited for the woman to finish her speech. He let Aki and Riku speak, then answered himself. "You walk in here and call a meeting like its nothing, making demands and asking for favors after what happened to us because of you. You assure us that you will not go berserk again, claim you want to help people and will accept any position we offer you without arguing. We should toss you in the maggots nest and let you rot!" Jensen said, raising his voice.

"I know well what happened was because you were being controlled, but the fact that you even let yourself be captured makes you responsible, and I don't see you apologising! Begging for forgiveness from all the souls who's death you caused! There is a monument out in the courtyard, with over two thousand names on it, and more are still being inscribed on it, all of them brave warriors of the gotei killed because of you, by you, criminals and monsters from the maggots nest. All you get in return is your powers removed, and a second chance at being human. That is hardly punishment.

However my answers is not no. I agree to your proposal, however you will work under me and you will commit yourself fully to the defense of this place, If captain commander Grainne agrees to the return of your powers. And if you show signs of going berserk again, I will put you down myself."

While the debate ensued, a raven was sitting in the rafters listening intently. The small black bird waited until Jensen had finished talking before dropping gracefully down to the vacant seat in the centre of the assembled captains. Then, the bird shifted into the willowy form of Captain-Commander Gráinne Xios. The young black-haired girl bowed politely to everyone before taking her own seat. She was noticeably dwarfed by the two captains either side of her, especially Jensen. Gráinne's entrance will have surprised neither Aki nor Jensen. She cleared her throat quietly before speaking. Her voice remained quiet and unassuming, much like the girl herself.

"I apologise for my tardiness. I wanted to examine the situation, to get the lay of the land, if you will. Now, Miss Lisola. I have listened intently to your request. While your offensive resulted did indeed result in the loss of Soul Society to darkness, as well as the loss of many lives, the fact of the matter is that you were simply being used as a pawn by higher powers. I myself learned recently the cost of a loss of control." Gráinne folded her hands together on the desk in front of her.

"With all of this in mind, I have decided to vote in favor of granting your request. I will defer to Captain Reinhart's judgement on this one with regards to your immediate future. I myself will keep an eye on you, to make sure no remnant of what possessed you before remains. Once I am satisfied, we will see then about granting you more responsibility." Gráinne turned to the assembled Captains. "Is there anything further anyone would like to add?"

Rena turned to Jensen as he had a hostile outburst but remained calm despite her usual temper, "I can guarantee that I will not go berserk again for one reason. With this method I will not be a vizard. I will be a shinigami and not have a hollow spirit inside me. Which was the only reason they were able to control me in the first place."

Rena sighed softly, "But you are right that I did not apologize and I haven't because no amount of words will bring them back. Instead I should focus on regaining power so that I can fight in place of those that fell and someday atone for what I have done." She gave a small smile as he mentioned saying yes to her proposal and added conditions, "Working under you and not being a captain myself? That suits me just fine. I was a vice-captain when I was in the Gotei so I'm used to working under someone."

Grainne showed up from nowhere, or it seemed like it since Rena couldn't sense worth crap as a human, and made her judgement on the matter known. Rena bowed and spoke up "It's no problem at all. I did request the meeting rather suddenly even though I did do so with the proper respect.." Rena said to Grainne as she listened to what the Captain-Commander had to say before speaking again, "Thank you Captain-Commander."

Grainne mentioned if anyone had any questions or further things to add and Rena did indeed have one. "I have a question Captain-Commander." She brushed a bit of hair out of her face and sighed again, "The only atonement I can give to those that died is not words.. but action. I need to know here and now if I will be allowed to slay hollow at my own volition and attempt to flush out the one responsible for my incident."

Aki simply nodded at the Captain Commander. He was split with the issue, so he was fine either way. He still answered Rena for her though. "I would hope, it is a shinigami's duty after all. I can save you some trouble on that though. Grand Chat haven't been seen since your kidnapping. Arngrim on the other hand, is the current Espada King, with very limited numbers of actual Espada and worthy minions. Us and him seem to have a gentleman's agreement at the moment, I'm sure the Captain Commander will explain more on that. Captain Reinhart, will you join me for a brief break?"

He knew the man has been poking in a...sensitive topic of his. Hopefully the other captain would join him. Once it was just them, he spoke. "I know you've been poking around a peculiar topic. Care to share the details?"

Riku stuck around a little bit, mostly to rest. He had dark circles around his eyes from lack of sleep. After the Captain Commander explain a bit to the new recruit and started getting preparations made, the kid started his trek back, sighing loudly...

"Very well. We should proceed with gathering power from those strong enough too contribute, and also willing too." He said to Grainne. Rena had questions about the ones who took control of her. "We are currently at an useasy peace with the espada. Attacking them would cause more trouble than its worth right now, but we'll discuss that once your settled." Jensen said. He had calmed down somewhat after the tongue lashing he'd given her before, mainly because of what Grainne had said about her own recent loss of control.

The meeting ended, and Aki called Jensen aside. Aki asked him about a rather sensitive matter he'd been looking into, and jensen guessed it was his investigation into the escaped maggot who'd fled the day of the battle. jensen had looked back over years of records, reading countless bios and files on the criminals locked up in the nest, most of which had been killed or recaptured. A few escaped, but only one had a history he could tie into the eradication of central 46's members, who had scattered across rukongai but had not survived the maggots occupation.

Jensen nodded. He told Aki all of that. Then more. "i believe our escapist is Ariel Venasha, imprisoned over 400 years ago. I'm surprised you didn't encounter her during the battle, since you were the one to take her down. I'm guessing she's smarter than that though, and fled soul society after killing all of central 46 off. I'm also guessing she's responisble for seriously wounding garanzo and Kazama the day of the battle. They encounted someone named Kayn and he was killed by a second maggot who vanished after. If i read it right, he was caught by you too, for causing Ariel to become a vizard."

Jensen said. Then he looked Aki right in the eyes. "She's obviously something to you. However, I can't risk her breaking back in here trying to kill you, or leave her to join up with more of our enemies. Do you know anything else about her?"

Gráinne nodded at the comments from her Captains. She listened the Rena's question and regarded the young woman for a moment. "I understand your desire to want to avenge the others and wipe the stain from your honour. However, it is as the others say. While you are certainly encouraged to deal with Hollow incursions in the Living World, as are the duties of a member of the Gotei, you must still remain answerable to Captain Reinhart, and you are not authorized to enter Hueco Mundo. I have struck a verbal agreement with Arngrim that we leave him alone if he leaves us and the humans alone. Thus far he has kept his word, and I intend to keep mine." She stood and bowed to the others. "We will assemble tomorrow morning for the procedure. I will have Diath try to find the required volunteers. Including myself, of course. If there is nothing else, you are all dismissed."

Gráinne watched as Aki requested a word with Jensen, and the two captains headed for the Shinigami Academy. Riku headed home without a word sighing loudly. Gráinne turned to Rena as she headed out the door. "Miss Lisola. Rena. I know it is not easy to suppress the urge to seek revenge on those that have wronged you, and I know I do not possess the vast centuries of experience you have accumulated, but I can say that I have gone through a similar struggle to you. If you need anything, even just someone to listen, I am at your disposal." Gráinne bowed politely, then swished her hair and walked out.

Gráinne Xios headed towards the Gotei Medical facility. Gotei Medical was a sub-unit set up by Gráinne in the wake of the reclaim of the Soul Society. It was run by Marie Reinhart, Jensen's wife, and served to heal, much as the name suggested. While it remained ultimately under the jurisdiction of the Captain-Commander, Gráinne was happy to let Marie run it as she saw fit. Gráinne actually served under Marie in her spare time, taking classes and working the odd shift here and there. She headed over for one of those classes now. However, she was intercepted by a messenger. "Captain-Commander, I bring an urgent message from our agent in Hueco Mundo." Gráinne sighed and swished her hair. She opened the paper and began reading. "She has a name you know. Just because she's an Arrancar..." She stopped talking abruptly and went pale, even paler than usual. With trembling hands, she folded up the message and stowed it in her haori. "You are dismissed."

Making a bee-line for the Academy, Gráinne walked straight in to where Aki and Jensen were conferring. There was a noticeable fear in her voice when she spoke, and her eyes were wide and her skin pale. "I am sorry to interrupt Captains, but... we have a problem." She ordered them to follow Gráinne to her office. Upon arrival, she ordered them to sit and gave Jensen the message that she had received. "I apologise for dragging you both here, but it is a matter of utmost urgency. I received the message you are reading a few moments ago from Miss Firestorm. Arngrim Wolfcloak has been overthrown. He is dead. The new Espada leader is... our worst nightmare. He is ruthless, cruel... utterly evil. We are in danger once again."

Rena watched as Jensen and Aki left the room and glanced over at Riku who was still standing there when Grainne got some message and dashed off towards the direction Jensen and Aki went too. However her attention span snapped her back to Riku who was looking more and more like Jun the longer she stared at him. The resemblance was uncanny and she was about to ask him about it only to remember he mentioned having memory issues. Amnesia huh? That had to suck. She wondered if he remembered his own name at the very least.

Couldn't hurt to ask eh?

"So you mentioned memory loss?" She said to start conversation with him, "How much do you remember then? If anything? Do you mind me asking?" she couldn't imagine losing her own memory. That was one thing that had remained intact even with everything she had been through and she was very thankful for it.

(Short post but..meh..everyone kinda ran off into their own little private chat lol)

Aki listened to Jensen. It would make sense...if any tried to stop her or get in her way...but she knew how to direct a vendetta. She rarely used bait, and unfortunately that was the only way to lure him out. "We did meet again after the fight. She didn't take her chance. She wanted a challenge, I refused to give it to her, so she left it be. Instead, there was an arrancar nearby and they duked it out while I took care of any stray attacks. So long as we leave her be, we should be fine."

Or at least he hoped so. Then the Captain Commander showed up. He followed, curious about what the problem was. After she was done, he turned to Jensen. "So much for Miss Lisola's revenge quest. *turns to Grainne* Got any more info? The Coalition has been preparing for something...an attack of some sort if their troop movements are any indication. Though we have heard something about Serions...whatever those are. Perhaps we should warn the Coalition? Maybe ease the strain a bit? It's probably the only reason they haven't jumped down our throats as badly as they had..."

The woman caught up to him no problem and started asking questions. "Not a thing. If it weren't for some good record keeping, I'd probably be going by a different name. Riku Tomoshibi. Captain. Accomplishments include valiantly battling hollow and sinners, staying in Soul Society as ordered by Akihiko Iyou and give the Maggots hell and provide intel. Last but not least, sealing a man named Aizen, permanently, which caused amnesia and a significant power drop. Captain Reinhart is my best link to anything in my past, but we've been a little busy.

You've been to the human world, right? According to some pictures, I have a virtual twin a few generations after me. Have you met him?" And if so, he'd ask what he was like. Riku was curious about since he saw the pictures...

Jensen listened to Aki's side of the story then nodded. "I see. Well if you don't think she's going to try get in here and kill you, i won't try to drag her back here and lock her up. I not going to stop looking though, I want to atleast keep tabs on her, make sure she's not going to join up with our enemies. If she does, I'll give you a chance to deal with her, or i'll have to take her down myself." Jensen said. He felt the captain commanders energy coming back towards them rapidly and looked up.

He listened, grimacing. He didn't exactly like Arngrim Wolfcloak, but the man had been keeping the peace. This new leader, who ever he was, was probably not so peaceful. He'd killed a very powerful individual to seize control after all. "This is bad. I don't suppose Olivia know's who this guy is? I'd like to speak to her... But that was her father, so maybe its best to give her some time. I'm putting the troops on full alert, if there's an attack coming we're going to be ready for it this time. Aki can you see to getting miss Lisola's return to power underway? And commander do you think you could get Diath to send out some spies to hueco mundo? See if they can gather some intel?"

Gráinne began pacing nervously. They had just about stabilized their home and rebuilt. If this new leader decided to pursue a war with Soul Society, then all of their hard work and sacrifice would be in danger of being undone. "If this... Azazael... decides to turn his attention to us, we will have a massive problem." Gráinne swished her hair and looked at Aki. "As for the Coalition, while our current strained relationship with them is regrettable, we must have faith in them and look to our own borders. If we fall, so will the Living World. We cannot afford to split our efforts. I am sorry."

The young woman suddenly stopped pacing when Jensen finished his response. She nodded in agreement with his suggestions. "Agreed. I will try to contact Olivia, and I also need to find out if Elayne is alright. I trust Liv to keep her safe, but I am concerned regardless. But first, I will speak to Diath as you suggest. We need to know exactly what is happening, and any advanced warning of trouble would be welcome." Gráinne looked to Aki again as he received his orders from Jensen. "Please hurry, Captain Iyou. We will need her experience and ability at their peak. I will submit myself as a volunteer for the procedure. Please inform me when you wish to proceed." Gráinne walked around her desk to face the two Captains. "I am aware that I rely on your experience and wisdom a great deal already, I will be relying on you both even more now. I trust you both implicitly, and I will endeavour repay your trust in me. Ganbatte, Captains." Gráinne bowed and walked over to her window staring in thought as they prepared once again.

"Tomoshibi? Ah so you are related to Jun after all." Rena said as he finished explaining about his virtual twin, "Yeah I've been there. In fact I've trained your so called 'Twin" in martial arts. He's a good kid." She crossed her arms as she began to realize the full extent of what had transpired after her brainwashing incident. She knew about the maggots nest but had not been informed it had freed Aizen. "So he's gone for good eh... Aizen I mean.. That's good."

She rubbed her chin and sighed a bit, "I'm surprised that it took so much from you but I guess sealing an immortal does that. Anyways did you want me to ask Jensen about getting you to meet Jun? Maybe seeing family will jog your memory?"

(It feels so short D:)

Riku perked up. Jun huh...and she trained him? And that he's a good kid, that's good. "I guess. It wasn't my spell entirely...from what I gathered, my mother developed it and sealed it inside a pendent. *takes out two pendants, one of which cracked right down the center* The cracked one is the original...the Captain Commander recreated it and gave it to me. I guess it helps with my kido."

He sighed. The boy would love to go...but..."I'd love to...but I've been busy. Helping out with rebuilding, just getting used to my powers, seeing my own current limits, etc. And if the rate at which the Captain Commander just retrieved Aki and Jensen is any indication, we just might be even busier..." Riku turned and stared in the general direction. Something was up...

Aki rose an eyebrow. "With all due respect, if we can't spare a single messenger, we're already doomed. And the only way both worlds fall is if the Ouken is found or is created and the Soul King dies. Last I checked, that was something that was guarded religiously, and I know I destroyed a lot of records pertaining to it. I know I can spare a good dozen plus soldiers to be a messenger if needed...I'll go arrange that quick. Shouldn't even take ten minutes. Then I'll talk to our few scientists and see if we can't get Rena her powers back..."

It was then everyone felt a surge of power to the east. One that wasn't exactly weak, but should be recognizable by a few. Despite his terrible sensing, Aki could still tell the general direction. "Diath is over there...anyone with better sensing tell if she can handle it?" After the answer, the man left to get started on his assignment.

Riku looked in the direction of the intrusion. "Why in the world does that energy feel so familiar..." He started to walk towards it while looking at Rena. "Do you know it?" He wasn't sure if she could sense it or not...

Jun quickly barged his way into the Seireitei. His orders were clear, be a distraction while Simon and Miles deliver the message. And try not to kill anyone. So far, he's knocked out a good couple dozen already. The teenager just walked calmly towards the center, shotgun in his holster.

Simon and Miles were sent much closer to the Shinigami strong hold. He and his doll snuck in and around the shinigami pretty successfully. It was actually kinda funny how quickly they were able to move. Helped that they were bounto and undetectable. The six foot tall man practically dragged his smaller friend around. He was clad is sweatpants, cowboy boots, and a jersey, all dark colors. His violet hair and cyan eyes were also very distinguishable. Miles was a blond with amber eyes, wearing a long, dark green coat, sky blue hoody sweatshirt, dark grey pants, and white tennis shoes.

Unfortunately, it wasn't long in the Squad 1 barracks that they found someone...and someone that was higher up too...

(ooc: no one said no, so I hope this is alright...if not, tell me and I'll edit...)

Jensen shook his head. "No, if we're destroyed there's nothing that stands between earth and the arrancar. Not even the coalition, given the constant in fighting the humans tend to do, and the fact that something bigs happening, can handle the full force of the arrancar. Not right now atleast." He looked in the direction of the power surge. "Diath has it. Still I'll make my way over there, I know who that is but I don't know why he's here, and whether i'll need to give him a boot in the hole for causing trouble or not." Jensen said before walking off.


Diath was on her way back from the rukongai to see Grianne when a strange portal opened up in the middle of Seireitei not far from her, and a very human energy signature came out of it. She recognized it too, and assumed it was a messenger from the coalition until she arrived on the scene and the boy, Jun, had already beaten up several shinigami and was working on others. Diath didn't hesitate to unseal her Zan and as her spears formed she threw the yellow one with the force of a cero at the boy's leg.

The other shinigami looked to her. "Get these men to the hospital." She ordered. They quickly gathered up their comrades and retreated. "Jun Tomishibi, surrender your weapons and explain to me why you've burst in here and started a fight." She demanded. "I'm not in the mood for games, if you resist I am not against using force."


Jensen walked towards the exist of the 1st squad barracks. He turned the corner and almost bumped right into a pair of humans, atleast they appeared to be humans. They looked surprised to see him. Jensen moved faster then they could react and had his sword to the larger male's throat in a flash, though it was layered in reiatsu, making the blade blunt. Not that he would know that. "Explain yourselves right now."

Gráinne had a feeling Aki would object, so she simply nodded. She knew the meeting was ending soon, and she felt her sister Diath's power signature heading towards them from Rukongai, on her way to check in. The man was about to leave, when a power surge was felt in the Seireitei, near Diath's position. Aki asked about it, to which Jensen stated that Diath could handle it, but he was going to head over anyway. Aki then left and, curious as to the sudden intrusion by what was clearly a certain Coalition officer, Gráinne decided to follow Jensen to the disturbance.

Outside, Gráinne sensed Jensen rounding a corner and stopping, activating the reiatsu sheath on his sword that made the blade non-lethal. She looked towards Jensen's position, and then to location of the disturbance. She decided to head straight for Diath, confident that Jensen had a good reason for stopping. She sped away at top speed for Diath's position. On arrival, she spotted Diath confronting the perpetrator of the disturbance. There were guards being stretchered away left, right and centre. She approached the two, not even bothering to draw her weapon. Taking her place at Diath's side as she questioned the young man, she glared at him, though more in annoyance than malice.

"Indeed. Miss Reinhart will not be pleased to have her workload increased without good reason. So what do you have to say for yourself? Why should we not just dump you in the Maggot's Nest?" She spoke curtly and directly, a most un-Gráinne-like occurrence. She swished her hair awaiting Jun's response.

Aki chuckled at Jensen. "We should know from experience...genocide is far easier said than done. Look at all the trouble just one captain class shinigami did to a group that sought out our destruction. Even with the fighting that humans do among each other, you shouldn't underestimate the human will. Ciao." Then he left.

Jun felt her. He hopped and twirled away from Diath's spear and backflipped onto a ledge. The blond's smile was condescending and glared right back at Grainne. "I don't wanna hear that from someone who's leader went berserk in our home for no damn reason. We still don't know why he did it, but it seemed Arngrim had a reason to contain her. We're just giving back a tiny bit of payback, and there is an issue that we could use some help with that you would be wise to accept as punishment...my partner is back in the Squad 1 barracks...the sooner you get the message, the sooner I leave, and the fewer peeps are knocked out and collateral damage is done. So, don't think this is an invitation to war...if it was it wouldn't just be us. So, until then...Diath...come play with me..."

He stomped the ledge and the section came crashing down. Jun himself sped away, ignoring any small fries and keeping a look out for the two women. Hopefully the one followed his advice and went right back to where she came from...he'd rather not get knocked out...

Simon reacted expertly by pushing on the flat side of the blade away from his throat and sliding himself and Miles backwards while speaking. Something that should resonate well with what Aki had said...something about genocide being easier said than done. "Ziege Dich: Miles!" The blond turned into a sword right in his hands. No guard, just bandages around the handle with a long piece hanging out towards the blade. The bounto held it in a reverse grip and was in a defensive position. It'll take a little bit for him to match power.

The man unzipped his jacket to show an envelope that he took out. "Just a messenger. If you could either deliver it to the Captain Commander or go get her or take me to her, we'll be on our way...including that feisty blond causing a ruckus. I'd rather not exercise my order to defend myself if necessary. If you take me to her, if you would sheath your sword, I'll unrelease Miles again..." He had no hostility towards shinigami and his tone was rather sincere and neutral. He was a pacifist...but can and will fight if necessary.

As Aki walked away Jensen shook his head. "Don't be so sure Aki. There's always a bigger fish. We just haven't found ours yet.." He said and walked away.


"Watch your mouth you pompous little ass, you know nothing about what you speak of." Diath snapped. "There is no punishment to be doled out. Arngrim wolfcloak assassinated one of our officers, then tried to kill Grainnè. If Jensen hadn't shown up at full power he would have succeeded." She spat at him. "If you want penance, go knock on his door."

Diath turned to Grainne. "Stay out of this sis, i'm going to knock that smug little grin off his face." She said, then lunged at jun coating her spear in a venom that would stiffen his muscles making it hard to move. It would reduce his speed by 25% if she hit with it.

Diath spun a heel kick at his face and jumped over him, bouncing off a wall to come spinning back in a flurry of spears. If she missed she would spring off the ground with her hands and flip back onto her feet, spears ready to go for the next round.


Jensen tensed when he seen the man step back and grab the child, turning it into a sword of his own. "Your the intruder, not me, so If you mean that then lower your sword." If the man complied jensen would sheath his sword too. If he did not, well....

Assuming the man was wise enough to do as he was told, Jensen took the letter from him and examined it. Then he told them to follow him and not to cause trouble. He led them to Grainne who was now over with Diath and the other intruder. "For future reference, just come in the front door next time."

Gráinne glared right back at the young miscreant. "Do not speak of matters that you do not understand, young man. As for your little ultimatum, I have no reason to consider it, and after your actions today I certainly have no reason to trust you. In fact the only thing stopping me from banishing you to the Maggot's Nest right now, is that you are a relation of Captain Tomoshibi." She was about to draw her sword when Diath told her to stay back and promptly engaged in battle with Jun. Gráinne sighed and shook her head. "Fine. Just try and keep the damage to a minimum, will you please?"

The black-haired girl turned around, intending to return to her office, when she spotted Jensen rounding the corner heading towards her. He was accompanied by two humans. Or, were they human? She couldn't sense any spiritual pressure from them. She concluded that one of them was a Bounto, accompanied by his doll. They arrived and she raised an eyebrow suspiciously at the Bounto. "You must be the messenger Mister Tomoshibi was referring to. Speak quickly. My patience is wearing thin with this chaos." She glanced over her shoulder to check on her sister, before fixing a cold and intense gaze on the Bounto.

Jun gave them both a dull look. "We understand a lot more than you think. Remember...we have sensors all over the world. And have met both of those hollow personally. Don't underestimate our own intel gathering. And can we please leave my uncle out of this...I am my own person..." Did they really think so little of them? Maybe they should wipe them out or at least cripple them. They had the resources to do so. But alas, they did kinda need them. To keep the hollow off their backs for the most part.

Diath caught up to him and lunged at him with a spear. Such a frontal attack wouldn't work that well against him, and side stepped and closed the distance. Bringing out Xina, he blocked the kick with his elbow, only to be used as a kind of spring board at a wall then used it to bounce towards him. Jun dived underneath her, twirling and spinning to avoid the adjusted strikes. And firing a shot right as she landed. Which split into four separate pieces and charged an electrical current between them, hopefully giving her a shocking reception.

Kicking through a wall, he jumped right afterwards, above a building that was empty, having been evacuated already. Firing a CGL, it exploded, destroying the place with a single shot. As he was heading towards the ground, he kicked, creating a hole that led straight into the sewers and ran through them.

Simon stared into Jensen's eyes. He believed him. Smiling he relaxed. "Simon! What are you doing! Don't-" The sword didn't have a chance to finish when the bounto forced to it to go back to Mile's normal form, who then clinged to the man in fear. "When you have as much experience as I do...you can tell the honorable ones from the not so honorable ones. This one is one of those honorable ones. See? he followed his word." The elder man had his doll see the older still shinigami sheathing his sword.

"As for using the front door...we would have...if Grainne-sama hadn't went berserk in an urban area. And it also would have only been one person. We have sensors all over the world and I guess we've met those two specific hollow before. Among other things. To be fair, I was against Jun causing a ruckus anyways..." It wasn't long before everyone met up. Simon bowed respectfully and forced his doll to do the same. "Not much to tell. Your captain has the letter I was to deliver. You have an hour to abide by its instructions. *reaches for his earpiece* The mission done." Their Ark opened up for him and Miles as they left.

Back above ground, Jun's Ark also opened up. "Aww...pity...maybe next time we can have some fun..." The boy was gone as well.

The letter was simple. Meet Kai at the top of the Statue of Liberty for a meeting. They had much to discuss.

On top of the head of the Statue of Liberty was Kai himself. Alone. With a pot of tea and two cups. Only his poured. There was also a table with three piles of paperwork. The largest being everything they know of the Serions. The second to largest being all information pertaining towards Alexei Romanov. The smallest, though not by much, was their evidence in case Grainne tried to play off her little penance. He hoped she would come. Probably miffed, but that was by design. To maybe see her true colors. If they were there.

Diath sneered at Jun. "You humans are fools to have trusted a hollow. Arrancar might be a little more evolved and trustworthy, but hollow are just blood thirsty beasts. Its because of those two hollow picking a fight with each other than any of this started!" She shouted. She dropped down and slid flat along the ground, going right under the electric trap fired at her before springing up and firing out a pair of Shakako at jun.


Jensen shrugged. "There is more to it than Grainne going berserk in an urban area. Someone very important to her died that day, at the hands of a hollow. You should know, with your excellent surveilance systems that all she did was destroy a few buildings. Any casualties were caused by the hollows that fought each other, and don't say i can't possibly know that. We have tech here too, we can find stuff like that out. The area was well evacuated when she did what she did, and no more damage was done because Arngrim showed up to stop her.

Not that I know why, but he told me he was the one to blame for it. Maybe he didn't kill one of those hollow when he had the chance, and that's why he felt like he caused it. Regardless, sneaking in is hardly going to impress her very much, its just gone and made the coalition and kai look foolish for approaching such a delicate situation with rash actions. Almost as foolish as what Grainne did, except she was driven by emotional stress."

Gráinne sighed and rubbed her temple. "Fine. Let me see the message." She took the message from Jensen and scrutinized it. The two uninvited guests left and she finished reading. "The Coalition leader wishes to meet with me. I knew this time would come eventually. I will depart soon, and I will go alone." Gráinne swished her hair and folded the paper, stowing it into her pocket. She surveyed the destruction. "Diath, assign repair crews to fix this place. Again. *sighs* And I thought the Coalition were supposed to be the good guys in this. Captain Reinhart, get the Research and Development to find some way to secure Seireitei from further incursions. Having the Coalition be able to enter Seireitei at will is not something I desire. I will go now. I will talk with you both when I get back." And with that she left.

OOC: In the interests of taking some of the pressure from Rena, I will end the thread here and move the meeting to a new thread. Rena has now got her powers back.
