Finding Shit out

Jun was on his lunch break, leaving a small mountain of plates on the table next to him. Some new, common soldiers were just staring at him in awe. But the blond really didn't care. Once he got done, he went past the lobby. To see a very familiar uniform stroll into the lobby. It should be noted that the human boy looked almost eerily alike to Riku Tomoshibi. Jun's hair was slightly longer than his Great Uncle's, was slightly taller, and had green eyes instead of blue.

It wasn't often they see a shinigami here. It looked like she was about to talk to the receptionist, with guards flanking her. The white cape robe thing indicated she was a captain, but he didn't see of what squad or anything. The boy walked up to her. "It's not often we get shinigami visitors, let alone captains. To what do we owe the pleasure?"

The young black-haired girl swept briskly into the Coalition building. She stopped and took a moment to survey the lobby. It was spartan but functional, much like the Coalition itself. Sparing the niceties, it got the job done. She was stirred out of her reverie by a young man asking her a question. She looked up at young man, who bore a striking resemblance to Captain Riku Tomoshibi. She thought he must be a relation. "My name is Gráinne Xios. I am Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13. I am looking for some information, maybe you can help me."

Gráinne waited until the young man responded before continuing. "One of my close friends has gotten into a bit of trouble. She was attacked by a Sinner in Karakura Town. Witnesses reported her falling into a Garganta, meaning she is now trapped in Hueco Mundo. I want to get her back, so I need the services of an Arrancar that one of my Captains encountered here. A Liv Firestorm. I wondered if she has been encountered by the Coalition at all. She stands out a bit. She is not evil."

The boy nodded, more than a bit shocked. She did clearly feel very powerful...but he didn't realize she was that strong. At the familiar name, he grinned. "Yeah, we know her. Helped us and a friend of her's out once. And we confirmed her goodness beforehand. I'm assuming you mean Jensen Reinhart? I've met him once before as well. I'll take you to the main conference room. I'll text Kai and Kerensky-sensei to meet us there. I'm Jun Tomoshibi by the way."

He wondered if his dear old Great Uncle talked about him at all. Or if he'll get any questions at all. He did text the two men as he led her to the elevator. "Not sure if you know, but we do have sensors all over the world. Though blank spots are uncommon, we figured we'll always have a few. The conference room can display where a specific person has been or currently is if they're in the human world and we've identified them appropriately. Although...we do have a means to get you into Hueco Mundo...though you'll have to take a Coalition officer with you. Just throwing that out there"

The elevator ride would be a little long...the main conference room was towards the top after all...

Gráinne absorbed the young man's words and nodded at his question about Jensen. He offered to take her to the main conference room which she gratefully accepted. "Thank you." The raven-haired beauty followed the young man to the elevator and stepped inside. He identified himself as Jun Tomoshibi. She knew the name, from one of her Captains. The young man described the Coalition's sensor net. A most impressive system. If this Liv was indeed in the Living World, tracking her down shouldn't be too difficult. She swished her hair.

"Well, that takes care of the problem of getting there. However, I am looking for Miss Firestorm in order to have a guide while I am in Hueco Mundo. But first, tell me, I have a Captain Riku Tomoshibi on my books. Are you two related?" She waited for his response before continuing. "You look very much alike. Also, may I ask why I have to take one of your officers with me? Hueco Mundo is not an ideal place for random Coalition officers."

Jun blushed a little bit and looked away. "Riku is my Great Uncle...he died when he was my age, so no chance for kids. My grandpa would be one of Riku's younger brothers. He's a hero...well, died a hero. Protecting his younger siblings and their friends from a gang. We've also met." He was sheepish when talking about his uncle, especially to his superior.

When mentioned that the two looked a lot alike, his green eyes darkened considerably, indication of his anger and another similarity between the two. "Forgive my rudeness, but please don't ever mention our likeness. I get it way too much. It's why I want be strong...strong enough to carve out my own identity in our large family and one day surpass him." Closing his eyes and calming himself down, he reopened them. His eyes lighter than when he was angered, but not quite at their brightness as when he first met her.

"I don't completely understand the Ark...by officers, I meant only the top two in each division and special permission only. So you're garunteed to have a, and I quote, "captain" class fighter as an escort. You'll have to ask Kerensky-sensei for the why. He built the thing. And our sensor net. And a lot of stuff. Either way, there's no way I'm going, I'm not a captain class fighter yet, though I'm very close." The elevator dinged, and he led her to the room.

In it stood two people. The first was a six foot tall, trench coat and black bucket hat wearing, green haired man that could not be sensed, due to him being a bounto. The other was shorter, but with silver hair, red eyes, and much more tanned. Wearing a mostly black sweater and matching jeans, he gave her a kind smile. "It's an honor to finally meet you in person, Captain Commander. I'm CEO of the Coalition, Kai Allard-Laio. The man next to me is Alexander Kerensky, our chief of research and development." He extended his hand to shake.

If taken, or even if it wasn't, Kai would take a seat at the table. The bounto also took a seat while Jun brought tea for the three of them. Or in Kai's case, coffee. Kai motioned Alex to get started. Alex put up the map of the world and a legend, indicating what Liv's spiritual pressure was. "Unfortunately, Ms. Firestorm is currently not in the world of the living. However, she does frequent the following cities and locations." City names and blips showed up.

"We can transport you there ourselves, though you'd need either Serena, Alistair, Tadatomo, myself, or Kai to go with you. Due to the properties of our Ark. Our information regarding Hueco Mundo is limited. There are only two arrancar that we have come across that don't stir up trouble...well, the one occasionally does, though it seemed to be more for behavorial experiments than anything and no harm really comes out of it. It should be noted that while Liv is good and has behaved, she is Arngrim Wolfcloak's daughter. Though we can see the need for a guide.

A sensor would be just as good, wouldn't it? Or perhaps you could bring with you the captain that had encountered her and have him flare up, hoping he'll attract her attention? It's risky, but could be worth it."

"Or send me and do the same and maybe attract less attention..." Jun quieted with a "meep" when he got a pair of very...disapproving glares from the two older gentlemen.

"There you go. I would like to be included on this due to our lack of information, but also to maybe dissuade Arngrim from coming after you if he senses your presence in his domain. If he brings his army or even a few of his Espada with him, you would be outmatched, it would be good to have some guards. Not enough to signify an invasion, but enough so that if there are major trouble, you wouldn't have any problems. Of course, in the end, it is your decision."

Gráinne observed the young man while he spoke. "That sounds like him alright. He's one of my most trusted Captains." Then, Jun seemed to harden and his mood darkened as he explained why he hated being compared to Riku. She smiled knowingly and nodded. It was a struggle she herself had endured. Is still enduring. In carving out her own legacy, she had to first deal with the existing ones. Leading the Gotei to take back the Soul Society was a massive step in the right direction. She only looked forward now. She swished her hair. "You are not being rude. I understand your thinking and I respect it. You are a remarkably strong-willed young man, Jun Tomoshibi. I have no doubt that you will be great." Gráinne listened to the young man speak again. She nodded, understanding. "Understood, thank you." Then the elevator arrived at its destination.

Gráinne was led into a large conference room. Inside were two older, more serious-looking people. One was tall, wore a trench-coat, and covered his green hair with a bucket-hat. The other, silver-haired man greeted her warmly. He was Kai Allard-Liao, the leader of the Coalition Against Spiritual Interference. The green-haired man was Alexander Kerensky, head of R&D. Gráinne bowed politely and shook Kai's hand and then Alex's. "The pleasure is all mine. I apologize for turning up unannounced, but this matter is urgent. And personal. You are the only place that can help me find this person." Gráinne thanked Jun for the tea and sipped it quietly.

The map popped up and Liv's energy signature was shown, her heart sank a little when it was announced that Liv was not actually in the Living World. She listened as Alex explained the necessary requirements for using the Coalition's Ark device. Taking one the aforementioned officers was not a problem. She was surprised to hear that Liv was the daughter of Arngrim. She hoped that she could use that to her advantage somehow. Gráinne then spoke up when the men finished. "I understand. Though I will say that Arngrim and I have an agreement not to interfere in each others affairs, which includes him not attacking Earth without provocation. While I sense he is an honorable sort, I agree that caution is warranted."

Gráinne took another sip of tea before continuing. "Before we make any decisions, I should tell you the reason for my personal interest in this mission. By now, you are probably aware that there was a spiritual disturbance in Karakura Town a few days ago. Well, this was caused by a battle between a Vizard and a Sinner. The Sinner, I know nothing about. The Vizard however, is Elayne Arashi. Her and her twin brother are members of what's left of the Kishimasuku. The aided the Gotei when we took back our home, and she is my closest friend." Gráinne took a deep breath before continuing.

"When I arrived at Karakura, both combatants had disappeared. Witnesses reported that Elayne had sent the Sinner back to Hell, but had then disappeared into a Garganta. Alone. My theory is that her Zanpakuto was destroyed in the fight, and her Inner Hollow took over. I believe she has turned into an Arrancar. If this is confirmed, my hope is that this Liv Firestorm can help her to not rely on eating souls, much like Liv herself manages to do. The most logical plan would be to bring Jensen, as Liv will recognize his energy signature. As for which of you must accompany me, I will leave it to your judgement." She swished her hair, and took another sip of tea.

Jun couldn't stop his smile at what she spoke of. It comforted him to know that he wasn't the only one. His green eyes showed brighter than before. He liked her.

Both Kai and Alexander were surprised at what she said. "I had wondered why arrancar and hollow attacks have been lessened...last big fight we had with one was in Karakura Town months ago between me and a member of his Espada not long after you had left. We were aware of the major fight...but due to the outpost's report, all we sent were relief supplies and aid..." He looked at Alex for the rest.

"It is possible. No offense, Captain Commander, but I find shinigami and vizard rather...boring to research and study. Perhaps that's the bounto in me speaking. So I can't really deny nor confirm your theory, although it is the most sound. Having met Liv and worked with her myself, I believe I should join you and Captain Reinhart. Having two familiar faces should ease her mind quite a bit...even if she is rather outgoing. It will take an hour to properly set up the Ark to go into Hueco Mundo. We'll keep an eye for Miss Firestorm's signature if she appears between now and then. I'm assuming you'd like to leave as soon as possible?"

If she confirmed, Alex would nod, say his goodbye, and drag Jun to assist him in preparing it. Kai spoke up. "When you return with your captain, one of my personal guard will escort you to the Ark. We'd rather you didn't open up a Senkaimon in the building. Central Park would probably be best for that. I'm just glad we can be of some help." He'd escort her out or take her to the roof so that she can grab her captain.

Gráinne took in everything that was discussed. The plan was settled. While she was loathe to pull Captain Reinhart away from what he was doing, she had no choice. She nodded and smiled warmly. "No offense taken Mister Kerensky. I do indeed wish to leave as soon as it is practical. I look forward to working with you. Nice meeting you Jun." She winked at the young man as he was dragged off to work. She stood and bowed to the two scientists. She then turned to Kai and bowed respectfully. "I understand. Thank you again for your help sir. I will not forget it." She then turned and indicated that she would like to go to the roof. The bird in her, she supposed.
