Rune Blade Tourney (Yuri vs Elayne)

Yuri walked through the doors and into the arena. He's been hoping for this opportunity ever since he heard about the Rune Blade. He looked all around him. No audience. No obstacles. It obviously favored faster fighters and outright brawlers. The arena was 300 yards in diameter and 300 yards tall. But that was fine. They had confiscated his gun and knife. This was purely your ability, no outside equipment. His first opponent was a little girl with a sword. Introduced as Elayne Arashi, a vizard.

He was introduced next, as Yuri Romanov, a true spellcastor. They didn't say his type, which was good. They were told to get ready. Yuri held out his hand. A white magic circle appeared, a hilt coming out first. When it was fully revealed, it was a fairly ornate sword. Double edged too. Heaven's Gate...one of the three true morality swords.

Then the bell rang. He swung his sword, firing six Shine spells, at the speed and strength of a bala. They were a good 50 feet away from each other. He also pointed his sword at her. If she dodged and came straight at him, a red magic circle would appear, firing a fire pillar the strength of a cero at her.

Elayne waited in the arena for her opponant. She hadn't really wanted to do this tourney but she'd been coerced into it and was here. She didn't want to make a fuss so she just went along. A young man appeared in the room and they were given the signal to start. The fight started and she used her high speed to dodge left as yuri started the attack. She hadn't drawn her weapon but pulled on her vizard mask to gain the boost to speed. Then she began her counter.

Elayne Shunpo'd upwards and pointed a hand towards Yuri. "Hado 61, Kyodaina Shakkaho!" A ball of red energy formed then expanded into a huge ball 10 ft across, and launched itself at Yuri's location. direct hit or miss it would explode with the force of a cero covering a 50ft area.

She immediately pulled on her mask and dodged his initail strike. She then jumped and fired her own spell. Yuri merely countered it with his Eruption spell, matching forces. Then came a quad of barrages. From the front, the man fired a barrage of thirty Shine spells. From the right of Elayne, came a magic circle, firing off a barrage of Lucky Stars. Lucky Star had a one in three chance that it will do nothing beyond a cut, that limb or body part becomes sluggish, or their spiritual power in that limb or body part goes haywire, allowing for a chance that her own moves will back fire or not work right. From the left of Elayne, a yellow magic circle with a lightning bolt appeared, firing off several lightning bolt 70% the power of a cero, and is difficult to dodge, even for speedsters. and lastly, from above/behind her, several white magic circles appeared. And fired fifty of his Seikons, holy energy swords that appeared exactly like his Heaven's Gate.

Those would litter the ground, but only he could pick one up without being burned. Well, another holy magic user could also use them. But she was a vizard, so he doubted she could. He grabbed one of the blades, and kept his eyes in the sky. Ready to move or counter attack...

Elayne shunpo'd back towards the ground having become pinned by multiple sides of attack. this got her out of range of the ones coming from the sides but left her dealing with falling swords. Elayne thought quickly. "Bakudo 73, Tozanshō." An inverted pyramid formed around her and the seikon that hit were bounced away. Elanye ended the barrier and drew and released her sword. "Pierce the sun, Icyene." She said and the blade took the shape of a rapier.

Elanye formed a platform behind herself and used it to launch herself at Yuri, using airskate to reach high speeds much faster. She wanted to get close, but on the way she moved her sword through the air and a circled appeared. 6 small bolts of energy shot ahead of her at yuri. Elayne rolled mid air and used a platform to stop herself, then struck the ground and sent a line of crystal spikes speeding towards yuri while she began circling him. She unleashed a bolt of lightning, and finally attempted to move into close range and attack with a trio of thrusts.

Didn't quite go as planned. The swords bounced off the barrier, him catching one from mid-air. She drew and released her sword. She launced herself and fired bolts of energy. He swung his sword, creating a barrier between him and her. That blocked the lightning. He got rid of the barrier and paid attention to her. She was going to slam into the ground. Where she was going to slam into the ground, a red magic circle appeared, and out of it came a fire beam equal to a cero in strength. Yuri rushed forward as she dealt with it.

He stopped and slid as she started to circle him. At his feet were two more of his holy energy swords. He kicked one up and kicked it, tracking her moves. The sword was sent cartwheeling at her projected appearance...just as she fired a lightning bolt at him. He spun away from the blast. Using that momentum, he parried the first thrust, dodged the second, and jumped to dodge the third. He stabbed downward with his energy sword. Yuri then slashed with the Heaven's Gate. Like a dancer, he spun, attacking, dodging, or parrying any physical counterattack while taking his energy sword out of the arena.

From behind and below her, a shine spell appeared. And then fired. If it missed her, he would smack it back at her with the Heaven's Gate, and stab with the energy sword.

As Elayne attempted to strike the ground to start her attack a red circle appeared, and she instincively shunpo'd away as a powerful blast of fire went off. She then continued to attack as planned. She was forced to parry an energy sword that nicked her arm as it shot off its course directly for her, then engaged Yuri up close. As Yuri jumped to dodge her third thrust she slid under him avoiding the downward stab, then parried the slash. She countered with a few flick like slashes of her rapier as they faught on par.

Elayne was hit from behind by a ball of energy and was forced forward. She managed to slightly dodge Yuri's stab, and stabbed her own sword into the ground as she staggered forward, which helped her catch balance and also set off her crystal spikes attack in yuri's direction. While he dealt with that she pointed a palm forward. "Hado 33, Sōkatsui." which hopefully would catch him at the current range.

Yuri swung down with his sword, hoping to end the match here and now since he got her with his shine spell. That was until she stabbed the ground and unleashed an attack. He jumped back as fast as he could, firing six of his shine spells. He got out of the crystal attack's range, but it had scratched and cut his legs in several spots. Even one cut at his hip. He bit back mild cries of pain. He slashed vertically, unleashing his holy wave. It cut through the energy attack, making it go on either side of him. The vertical wave of holy energy continued on.

He stood up. And started to run at her. He dropped his energy sword and kicked it as hard as he can. He pointed at her, a white magic circle appearing behind her. From it, a car sized holy energy ball came out and started to follow her. It was a homing attack. It couldn't make sharp turns. It also would follow her for 250 yards before exploding for fifty yards. It was as strong as a cero. As he tracked her, he pointed up at the sky. At the very top of the arena came another magic circle. This time, a large, slime cat appeared. And it started to heal Yuri at the rate of an average arrancar.

It was more efficient this way. Problem with the slime cat...was that it was extremely vulnerable.

Yuri used his shine spells to slow down the crystal attack by destroying bits of it, but still got caught in the end. Elayne shunpo'd left which took her out of the path of the holy wave. Yuri kicked his sword at her and she moved slightly, it clipped her shoulder as she fired a byakurai back at Yuri. She felt the energy appear behind her and glided forward. She spun to face it as her rapier barrel turned red and a red glow surrounded her blade, then she whacked it away and slightly down so that it flew 1 hundred foot then exploded from hitting the ground. She had to go full speed to escape the blast.

Once safe she glided sideways and turned back towards yuri, and then used shunpo to close the disdance. She spun the rapier and stopped it on white. Elayne hadn't wanted to use this move, but ending the fight fast seemed like a better idea than letting it drag on. The blade turned white and runes glowed along the blade. Then she sho at Yuri at near shunpo speeds, blade aimed to pierce him. If hit it would be like being struck by a gran rey cero.

Yuri deflected the quick bolt with his Heaven's Gate. She gained distance and deflected his Impure Purification spell into the ground, forcing him to jump back as well. She charged at him, and spun a part on her rapier...something he was just now noticing. And she zoomed it faster than before. This caught him by surprise. Luckily, he was wearing layered clothes. The resulting explosion revealed green blood everywhere, a deformed Yuri in several peices with one of his shirts on, and him no where to be seen.

That is, until a white magic circle appeared below her, and fired up with the power of a Gran Rey Cero. Yuri was above, and activated another spell. A mirror came out of a different magic circle near him, and deflected the Judgment spell right back at her should it miss the first time. "Don't think for a second this was gonna end that quickly!"

He jumped off of his holy disc and pointed his sword downward at her. A yellow magic circle appeared and fired out several lightning bolts. His Storm Spell from his multi-directional barrage.
